Here are the games and spreads for this week. Once I've got everyone's picks, I'll post my predictions for the week.
One question of interest: how do you think ND plays this weekend against MSU? Rebound from the domination of the UM game? Or long slide back into mediocrity?

With the flag planting incident from last season, and the rumor that CW said he would never lost to MSU again, there is the motivation factor for both teams. The drubbing at the hands of UM also serves as a reason for ND to come out swinging.
I think the Irish will come out with a game plan that will allow them to methodically dismantle MSU. ND needs to get the running game going early to allow BQ to throw down field. The penalties have been a real killer as well as Stovall's soft hands. I don't see us losing this game, but it could be close if we start making stupid mistakes.
ND 38
MSU 21
...and "Row!" has to be one of the stupidest cheers I've ever witnessed.
QC: Are changes to picks allowed up until kick-off (a la the NCAA Hoops Pool), or are they set in stone once they are submitted?
Changes are allowed until Friday noon (when I will post my NFL predictions for the week).
I hope you're right about MSU. I have a bad feeling.
Thanks for the clarification on the football pool, QC!
As for ND, I really think we will see more 3 step drop, short route, and roll out pass plays. Basically pick 'em apart, 14-15 play drives. BQ needs to get his confidence back and CW knows that.
I guess I see the glass as half full, but I really don't see us losing this game.
I don't think it will be a long slide to mediocrity, but I do see us losing this one since MSU is such a balanced team. I want to be wrong, but like MPS I've got a bad feeling.
I see Purdue being on the wrong side of an @ss whoopin' when they come to South Bend.
By the way, there are some awful games on tap this Sunday in the NFL:
Titans @ Dolphins
Redskins @ Texans
Packers @ Lions
At least we don't have to suffer and watch the Raiders play!
The truly shitty part of those games is that I have to find a way to pick them against the spread. Tennessee is terrible, but are they 11 points worse than a Culpepper-led Miami team? Dunno.
